Eligible trainees are able to gain work experience by securing internship placements or employment. Trainees and employers are matched based on the employer's need and the student's vocational assessment, individual abilities and career interests.
The UNIKLEARN programme helps trainees learn jobs skills by modeling appropriate work behaviour and social interactions and by encouraging trainees to develop relationships with co-workers in order to foster greater independence.
UNIKLEARN benefits both trainees and employers by preparing trainees for more independent living and offering employers positive, productive relationships with people with different abilities.
