UNIKLEARN 2019 is a 11-month UNIKLEARN programme will begin in March and end in January 2020. The objective is to train 10 or more differently-abled youth soft/employability skills, functional living skills, provide training for service occupation, internship and post-observation.
To ensure that the trainees get the best out of the programme in terms of curriculum, materials and support services, UNIKLEARN is welcoming sponsors for individual trainees.
The programme is fee-paying at a cost of $1,000 per month, per student. As you can appreciate, not all the trainees’ families will be able to afford the fees. Last year An-Nur Harapan, the social enterprise that project manages UNIKLEARN, gave some scholarship thanks to corporate or individual contributions to the fund but this we hope is the exception rather than the rule.
Batch 1 UNIKLEARN (2018) trainees completed the programme and are now doing internships or are fully employed.
The programme fees will be paid to the centre to ensure that the selected trainees get the very best out of independent and life skills modules where we will prepare them for independent living and even work; helping to create their CVs and work with industry players to secure internships. The training is 4 days a week, 6-8 hours a day.
