Sungkai buffet treat for differently abled youth and families

UNIKLEARN trainees and their families were treated to sungkai buffet at the Dynasty Restaurant in Gadong.

The management and staff of An-Nur Harapan, a company that funds and manages the UnikLearn programme as well as the UnikLearn programme trainers Lu Ferre Company and Royal Brunei Catering staff were also present.

The UnikLearn programme is a vocational training and internship programme designed by professional therapists with the overarching mission to empower differently abled young adults towards independence to become contributing members of the community.

Upon completion of their training, the youth in the programme will be provided with on-the-job training and will also receive post-training support.

An-Nur Harapan is now training seven differently abled individuals for UnikLearn 2019, which will run for 11 months from March 2019 to January 2020, thanks to the success of the UnikLearn pilot in 2018.

Chairman of An-Nur Harapan Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman bin Pengiran Haji Damit expressed his appreciation to the management and staff of Royal Brunei Catering and Dynasty Restaurant for their goodwill initiative of hosting UnikLearn and all associated parties.
