Certificate Presentation

Seven youths of the fifth cohort of the UnikLearn programme - a life skills and internship programme for youth with different abilities - were feted in a Graduation Ceremony yesterday morning. The programme is run by An-Nur Harapan.  The certificates presentation was held at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism.

Present to hand over the certificates was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism.  The event marked the completion of the youths' training under the programme, which resumed in January this year.  After having served nine months of intensive training at the An-Nur Harapan centre, the trainees are now undergoing their internship at Jollibee Brunei, Superfish Growers and Ezy Printing.

At the ceremony, An-Nur Harapan and the Brunei Association of Hotels signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU to collaborate on equipping UnikLearn trainees with vocational training and work experience in the hospitality industry.  Signing on behalf of An-Nur Harapan was Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman bin Pengiran Haji Damit, Chairman of the An-Nur Harapan Board of Directors, while the Bruneian Association of Hotels was represented by its President, Awang Mohd Iswandi bin Maaruf.
