Baiduri Masters 2026

Baiduri Masters 2026

For more than 30 years, the Baiduri Masters has brought together golfers from across Brunei and beyond in friendly competition. Each swing, putt and round played contributes to a tradition that has become a fixture on the local sporting calendar.

Yet the true legacy of the Baiduri Masters is not measured by trophies won or scores recorded.

It is reflected in the lives of individuals who gain access to education, therapy, skills training and opportunities that help them build confidence, independence and a brighter future.

Over the decades, the tournament has evolved into more than a golf event. It has become a platform for collective impact, bringing together players, sponsors, collaborators and the wider community to support organisations that are creating meaningful change across Brunei. Every registration, sponsorship and contribution helps empower individuals and families, demonstrating how a shared passion for sport can translate into lasting social impact.

This year, funds raised through the Baiduri Masters 2026 will support five organisations serving children, youth and adults with diverse learning needs and disabilities: Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, SMARTER Brunei, An-Nur Harapan, La Vida and Learning Ladders Society.

While their missions differ, they share a common goal — helping individuals realise their potential and particZipate fully in their communities.

The impact of this support can be seen in stories like Haziq’s.

SMARTER Brunei’s hydrotherapy programme supports sensory regulation, motor skill development, and physical rehabilitation.

A student at SMARTER Brunei, Haziq faced significant physical challenges that affected his mobility. Through the centre’s swimming and hydrotherapy programme, he gradually regained strength and confidence. Today, he is walking again — a milestone his parent describes as one of the most emotional moments in their family’s journey.

At Learning Ladders Society, support has helped improve learning spaces while sustaining programmes that nurture communication, confidence and independence for children with autism. For many parents, these programmes provide reassurance that their children are learning in a supportive environment tailored to their needs.

The long-term impact of this support is perhaps best illustrated by one of the organisation’s earliest students, who has since graduated and secured employment — demonstrating how early intervention and continued support can create opportunities that last well beyond the classroom.

For participants at An-Nur Harapan’s UNIKLEARN programme, success often comes through practical, everyday achievements. Hazeem, one of the programme’s trainees, has benefited from vocational training that equips individuals with skills to foster independence and prepare them for future opportunities. Every skill mastered represents another step towards greater self-reliance, confidence and meaningful participation in society.

At La Vida, previous support helped address a different challenge: space. Contributions enabled the organisation to expand its facilities, creating room for programmes that support special needs learners while also strengthening its outreach to the wider community. The additional space has facilitated activities such as music-based learning programmes, food aid distribution and other community initiatives, allowing the organisation to support more people in more meaningful ways.

Meanwhile, Pusat Ehsan continues to provide education, rehabilitation and community inclusion programmes for more than 200 students and beneficiaries. Planned enhancements to therapy equipment, accessibility infrastructure and learning environments will help create safer and more inclusive spaces where individuals can develop skills, confidence and independence.

Taken individually, each of these stories is inspiring. Together, they demonstrate the collective impact that becomes possible when communities come together behind a common purpose.

Physiotherapy sessions at Pusat Ehsan help beneficiaries strengthen mobility, improve physical function, and support their participation in daily activities.

This is ultimately what the Baiduri Masters represents.

Beyond the tournament itself, it serves as a bridge between generosity and opportunity, helping organisations sustain programmes, strengthen services and create pathways for individuals and families to thrive.

This year, every golfer who takes part in the Baiduri Masters will contribute directly to that impact. In line with the tournament’s longstanding charitable purpose, 100 per cent of registration fees will be channelled towards the five beneficiary organisations.

Registration for the Baiduri Masters 2026 is now open, with a flat registration fee of BND120 for the Men’s, Ladies’ and Senior categories, and BND60 for the Junior category. Golfers can register online via Pocket or obtain registration forms from Pantai Mentiri Golf Club, where submissions and full payment can also be made at the club’s registration counter.

By participating, golfers are doing more than signing up for a tournament. They are helping create opportunities for learning, rehabilitation, independence and inclusion, while supporting organisations that continue to make a meaningful difference across Brunei.

As players take to the fairways for the Baiduri Masters 2026, they will be playing for more than a title. Long after the final putt has been sunk, the impact of their participation will continue to be felt in classrooms, therapy centres, skills training programmes and communities throughout the country – one opportunity, one achievement and one success story at a time.
